Telemarketing Sales Specialist
Reports To:
- Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Duties Include:
- Generate between 5 and 15 qualified sales leads per day.
- Place phone calls to potential clients from our database.
- Perform script (with necessary adjustments) to ensure consistency of sales program.
Job Brief:
Genoptic Smart Displays, a division of Genoptic LED, Inc. of Calgary Canada, is seeking a Telemarketing Sales Specialist to join our sales team. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the successful candidate will be comfortable speaking on the phone with large numbers of people each day to qualify and assist with closing sales leads for our products. We’re looking for an upbeat, motivated professional who gets inspired by the idea of generating sales revenue and being rewarded with a competitive base compensation and incentive program. You will generate leads, qualify prospects, and make follow-up calls, when appropriate, to close sales. We are seeking experienced telemarketing professionals – if you have inside sales experience, we want to talk to you.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Place phone calls to potential clients from our database.
- Perform script (with necessary adjustments) to ensure consistency of sales program.
- Answer potential clients’ questions about LED signage projects or goals.
- Generate between 5 and 15 qualified sales leads per day.
- Set appointments with prospective customers based on our associates’ schedules.
- Maintain computer, telephone and other equipment.
- Train other telemarketing professionals, when required.
- Communicate any problems, concerns or questions to supervisory staff.
- Refer customer complaints to Technical Support Manager for quality control.
- Always communicate respectfully and politely with potential customers.
- Log all calls, follow up, and appointments in the CRM system or Call Tracking System.
- Schedule meetings for customers with our outside sales team.
- Attend training and continuous improvement sessions.
Qualifications
- College degree in business or related field, preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales (lead generation preferred)
- 2+ years telemarketing \ call center experience a plus
- Excellent phone manner and articulation
- Able to deliver sales and service excellence by demonstrating tenacity, persuasiveness, and
strong interpersonal skills - Able to analyze data, utilize problem-solving skills, and recommend solutions
- Familiarity with voice and data/IP products and services
- Results-driven and willing to work on a base plus commission basis
- Superior knowledge and skills within MS Office and Apple applications
- Motivated to meet personal and team sales goals

As Regional Account Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets within your region, while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. You will report to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and may manage a up to 175 accounts at any given time. We’re looking for a self-starter, strong communicator, and a sales-oriented professional who values productivity, customer engagement and closing.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work closely with and support the sales objectives of our key distributors, within your region.

- Identify, engage, plan and develop new regional accounts.

- Must be willing to travel as much as 70% of the time.

Qualifications
- College degree in Business or related field preferred. Minimum 4 years of proven management skills coupled with five years progressive sales experience
- Experience in contract proposal design, negotiation skills and resource utilization
- Excellent presentation skills with strong public speaking ability
- Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate programs for internal and external customers
- Must be a demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated organization and project management skills
- Superior ability to build high level business partnerships
- Strong strategic thinker and proven expertise at closing sales
- Ability to travel within region and outside as necessary (minimum travel: 50% of the time)

Qualifications
- Post-graduate degree in Business or related field preferred.

- Proven history of creating effective marketing programs
